Meet the Team
Directors
Allyson Ee

Hello! I'm Allyson, and I’ll be your main source of contact if you decide to become a Climatry mentor. When I was 16, I moved to LA from Manila and have been doing research on battery materials since. Currently I study chemical engineering at UCSB and do battery materials research in the Clément group. I started Climatry in 2020 as a passion project because I strongly believe in research mentorship and strive to provide this to the young, talented researchers of the Philippines. Beyond academics, I enjoy rock climbing, ultimate frisbee, and singing!
Logistics Head
Pia Miras

Hello! I'm Pia, and I joined Climatry as Logistics Head with the determination to hone and put my organizational skills to good use. As a high school student, I realized the challenges that come with learning how to do proper research and actually doing it, and so it is an honor to be able to help fellow students find a way to experience research beyond the classroom. My studies in Chemistry and Physics have gotten me interested in learning more about the climate crisis. As a youth, I became aware of the importance of taking action against this crisis because of the irreversible damages it will cause us, both globally and regionally, not only environmentally but also socially.
Externals Head
Isa Escano

Hi! I’m Isa. I have always been interested in the oceans and the Marine Sciences since I was a child which made my passion for environmental protection stronger. I know I’m just graduating high school, but I believe I may have an impact and be of help especially being the Externals Head of Climatry. In line with my position, I’m a very social person! I love meeting new people and participating in team sports, specifically ultimate frisbee. Lastly, I also push for sustainability which is why I love to crochet!
Gwen Valimento

Hi, I’m Gwen! Studying in a science high school and living in a country affected a lot by climate change, I co-directed Climatry in 2020 to share opportunities in helping address the current climate crisis, particularly through science research. Outside the organization and school, I like to eat tangerines and dabble in random art projects!
Promotions Head
Ayah Pangan

Hello! I’m Ayah, a Grade 11 student and youth climate activist, interested in Environmental Science and Engineering! Through my advocacy, I get to help as many people as I can given the climate crisis’s intersectionality and relevance to all, especially Filipinos. Knowing I physically and mentally can’t participate in every opportunity I find, I love sharing opportunities, like Climatry, to others. I also love watching movies, gardening, dancing & singing, traveling, cleaning (yes, it’s a hobby), and cooking. Looking forward to helping you build your advocacy and find your place in the climate space.
Creatives Head
Elyanna Sy

Hello! I’m Elyanna, a senior student interested in Agricultural Sciences, Microbiology, and Biotechnology. During my free time, I binge-watch K-dramas, play ultimate frisbee, and do home gardening. My family and I have loved traveling to the mountains, seas, and caves- realizing the importance of biodiversity and ecosystems. I hope to encourage the Filipino youth in environmental engagement through climate-related research, creating a sustainable future for the next generations.
